Synge St, Portobello - House alteration and redecoration:
The project was for the refurbishment and redesign of an existing 3 storey Victorian house which was a Protected Structure. The project included works to undo damage done to the architectural integrity of the Structure and to consolidate the important fabric.
The works included the removal of a recently added ensuite to restore the main bedroom to its original size and the provision of a generous bathroom in place of the box bedroom.
In addition to this and redecoration throughout, the main works were to the bottom floor (ground/basement level). Here a utility was added, the 2 adjoining bathrooms were rationalied into one bathroom, a new sitting area was added and large glazed doors were added to the kitchen/dining to increase the natural light and open it up to the rear garden.
